Jacob and I attended the same college, played a collegiate sport, and shared many mutual friends while living temporarily in the small town of Potsdam, NY. We met in March of 2018 and from then on shared our summers visiting each other and college semesters living together until both graduated.
Eventually, Jacob and I moved to the capital region with our golden retriever and began our careers in an area that was a better fit for a teacher and salesman.
After five years of dating, he proposed to me in the backyard of our best friend’s house. Jacob made a video featuring songs and pictures of us from the past years. He ended the video by asking me to meet him outside where friends captured the entire proposal. There was a rose petal-covered path leading to big light-up letters spelling “MARRY ME.” The proposal was an absolute dream!
Jacob and I love the fall season and golfing is one of our favorite hobbies. We quickly decided on the Hiland Park Country Club for its beautiful Adirondack mountain foliage and golf course aesthetic. Our wedding day could not have been more magical and we are so grateful to have experienced such genuine, personable vendors who went above and beyond to make our day a dream come true.
Jacob and I are so thankful for our family and friends who traveled near and far to celebrate our love. We love them so much!
